Worshipping a fictional character

Ladies and gentlemen, Houtarou Oreki.

Hyouka has won a place in my heart as the anime I will most likely watch again. Yup, that's how incredibly good it is. It's a mix of slice-of-life and mystery. Truthfully, I am not a fan of mystery, and I was a bit reluctant to watch it. But when I saw the main character, Houtarou Oreki, I knew this is one character I shouldn't ignore. He is absolutely charming and hilarious.

How can you not like this face?

Houtarou Oreki is a high school freshmen, absolutely lazy (although he calls it 'saving energy') and has an amazing ability of deduction. That's right. He solves mystery in a snap of a finger (well, maybe that's a exaggeration but you get the point). He tried to live his life by using as less energy as possible by not participating in anything. You can probably find him napping all day in his room, and the first person to go home after school. He just doesn't like to use energy.

He calls it: Saving energy.

The only reason he solves mystery around school is due to Eru Chitanda, the female president of the Classics Club who is curious of just about anything. Once she is curious, she will not stop thinking about it. And upon knowing Houtarou's amazing ability of deduction, she pulls him into her boat, and thus getting him to involve in school activities.

Yes, she is that forceful.

Well, that's it. You can tell by now that I am probably worshipping (or having a crush on *coughs*) a fictional character. This is what happens when you involve yourself in more of fiction than reality.
